In 2011, prior to the NSW State Election, the NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) produced a publication titled ‘Building a Rural Fire Service for 2030’.<\/span><\/p>\n

This publication detailed over 30 policy positions adopted by the RFSA over a number of years.<\/span><\/p>\n

These policies have now been reviewed and prioritised following the adoption of many recommendations put forward by the Association in 2011.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0NSW Rural Fire Service Association State Election Policy 2019<\/a>\u00a0identifies those policies still to be pursued, together with some new issues which the Association is of the view, warrant consideration by Government.<\/span><\/p>\n

This document is produced in the lead up to the 2019 NSW State Election to advise all sitting members and potential members of Parliament, and most importantly the community, of the Association\u2019s commitment to pursuing those matters which it regards as being of paramount importance to our Members in protecting the community of NSW.<\/span><\/p>\n

It should be read in conjunction with ‘Building a Rural Fire Service for 2030’, which is available on this website.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nominations for Directors of the State Board of the NSW Rural Fire Service Association Inc. for 2019-2021 are now open. <\/strong>Download Application<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Constitution requires that 10 Board Members be appointed for a two year term.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nominees\u2019 submissions will be distributed to State Council, and they will be invited to attend the State Council AGM on Saturday 29 June (Penrith) where the successful candidature will be announced.\u00a0Nominations will close at\u00a0<\/span>5pm\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>Friday, April 21, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Candidates should be aware of the requirements to attend at least 12 Board Meetings and 4 State Council Meetings per annum and attend other events and meetings as required.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
